January 2007<br />
• The Generate SOAP template utility enables you <strong>to</strong> create a SOAP template for any<br />
service for which WDSL has been generated. This SOAP template can then be used in<br />
the Handler Tester, Transformation Tester or Send Master <strong>to</strong> test SOAP messages.<br />
• The following enhancements have been made <strong>to</strong> Send Master:<br />
• Headers are changed <strong>to</strong> reflect service operations.<br />
• Support for additional IBInfo Headers fields.<br />
• Support for testing attachment functionality as provided in <strong>PeopleTools</strong> <strong>8.4</strong>8.<br />
• Support was added for testing JMS messages with <strong>Oracle</strong> Application Server as JMS<br />
provider.<br />
• Support for <strong>to</strong>pics has been added for JMS messages.<br />
• Ability <strong>to</strong> test <strong>PeopleTools</strong> <strong>8.4</strong>8 as well as previous versions.<br />
Workflow Technology<br />
Release <strong>8.4</strong><br />
• This release of <strong>PeopleSoft</strong> Workflow includes major enhancements for ad-hoc Workflow<br />
notifications, including a Notify <strong>to</strong>olbar but<strong>to</strong>n that can be added <strong>to</strong> any <strong>PeopleSoft</strong><br />
component, and notification templates that can incorporate values from a component<br />
page as well as pre-defined text.<br />
• This release of <strong>PeopleSoft</strong> Workflow supports the Blackberry pager system.<br />
• The combination of Generic Templates and PeopleCode application classes can be used<br />
by application developers <strong>to</strong> extend the delivered notification features for a specific<br />
application.<br />
Release <strong>8.4</strong>1<br />
You can set up access <strong>to</strong> <strong>PeopleSoft</strong> pages in Workflow so that you can view them through<br />
activity guides, or through standard <strong>PeopleSoft</strong> menu navigation.<br />
Release <strong>8.4</strong>3<br />
• When you create a worklist routing for an activity, you can use worklist records <strong>to</strong> control<br />
what fields of information the system s<strong>to</strong>res for each work item and in what order the<br />
work items appear.<br />
• You can now filter by user when searching on the Worklist Detail and Worklist Summary<br />
pages.<br />
• There is a new option, named Delete Pooled WL When Select, which allows the user <strong>to</strong><br />
specify when the pooled worklist is <strong>to</strong> be dropped from another's queue.<br />
• With <strong>PeopleTools</strong> <strong>8.4</strong>3, items have been added <strong>to</strong> the results in the search dialog box for<br />
the Worklist Entry Updates page <strong>to</strong> help narrow the search for unique items.<br />
• For <strong>PeopleTools</strong> <strong>8.4</strong>3, slight modifications have been made <strong>to</strong> the reassigned worklist<br />
