Derek Warfield & the Young Wolfe Tones wear it well
Get ready to clap your hands,
stamp your feet, and dance
a little jig with Derek
Warfield and his Young
Wolfe Tones.
Along with this fine trio of musicians,
Derek carries on the tradition
of remembering Ireland 's patriots
with energy and sheer fun. Warfield
has a 40-plus year history of pleasing
crowds all over the globe. This Irish
music legend is a songwriter, historian
and a founding member of the
musical group known as the Wolfe
Tones.
Derek left the original group in
2001, but in the Young Wolftones he
joins forces with some of today's
most talented young Irish musicians.
Damaris Woods is considered one of
the finest banjo players touring today.
She has also won more than her fair
share of Irish titles as an instrumentalist.
Padraig Allen (from Ireland's
famous musical Allen family) made a
name for himself as front man for the
popular Tipperary based Celtic-rock
band The Whole Shabang. He is a talented
showman who is comfortable
on stage and has played in front of
many large festival crowds. Jim
Woods (brother to Damaris) has a
stack of music awards himself and is
