First-time freshmen are eligible for the residence halls. Transfer students are eligible
for the campus apartments. Because of the high demand for campus housing, students
may not receive their preferred assignment. If demand for campus housing exceeds
supply, priority will be given to students who are required to live on campus (see page
3 for residential living requirements).
Autumn Quarter 2013
If your housing application
and deposit are received:
• By May 31, you will receive
your assignment at the
beginning of August.
Winter Quarter 2014
If your housing application
and deposit are received:
• By December 11, you will
receive your assignment
shortly after Christmas.
Spring Quarter 2014
If your housing application
and deposit are received:
• By March 19, you will
receive your assignment
by the end of Spring Break.
1 Submit an Application
Visit spu.edu/HousingApp and complete the Campus
Housing Application. When you access the link, you will
be directed to a Banner Information System login screen
and will be prompted to enter your SPU username and
password. If this is your first time entering the system
or if you have forgotten your username or password,
go to spu.edu/FindMyID.
2 Submit a $300 Housing Deposit
After submitting your application, you will see a link to
pay your housing deposit. The link has a secure connection
and is available 24 hours a day. You can pay by
e-check (a no-fee service) or by credit card (with a 2.75%
transaction fee). MasterCard, American Express, and
Discover Card are accepted. SPU cannot accept credit or
debit card payments over the phone or in person. Please
be prepared to pay when you submit your application.
If you do not have web access or would prefer to pay
by paper check, please mail a $300 check payable to SPU,
with your ID number on the memo line, to the address on
the back cover of this booklet.
Note: Your housing deposit will not appear as a payment on your account; it is
held separately and released when you leave SPU housing, provided you have
met your contract obligations and have not damaged your room.

canceling an application
To cancel an application, send a written notice via mail, fax, or email (see contact
information on the back cover). To receive a refund of your deposit, you must cancel
your application by the following dates:
For Autumn Quarter 2013: June 28
For Winter Quarter 2014: December 11
For Spring Quarter 2014: March 19

*If you apply for housing during a break or at the start of a quarter, a minimum of two business days is required to make your assignment.
