Eric Jordan began collecting coinage in
1980 as a 12-year-old and worked as a coin
grader for Palmetto Galleries in Columbia
during high school. This exposure created
an intense interest in the development cycles
of coinage and how that applies to picking
low risk super coins in their infancy. This
research became the technical basis for “The
Top 50 Most Popular Modern Coins.” He is also
the author of “Modern Commemorative
Coins: Invest Today, Profit Tomorrow.”
John Maben
John Maben entered the coin business full
time in 1978. Now in his fourth decade as a
professional numismatist, his past experience
includes over eight years at Numismatic
Guaranty Corp. as Executive Vice President
and a grading finalizer. At the age of just 25,
John became a member of the prestigious
Professional Numismatists Guild. His
greatest success to date has been piloting the
ModernCoinMart division of his company,
launched in 2004, to a leadership position in
the certified modern coin market.
