At <strong>St</strong>. Luke’s, our commitment <strong>to</strong> quality has never<br />
been stronger. As we set out <strong>to</strong> achieve American<br />
Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Recognition ®<br />
in 2014, an honor awarded <strong>to</strong> only the <strong>to</strong>p 6% of<br />
hospitals nationwide, careful steps are being taken <strong>to</strong><br />
ensure that nursing staff is given full support by our<br />
organization along the journey. In 2011, <strong>St</strong>. Luke’s<br />
presented nurses with the opportunity <strong>to</strong> take part in a<br />
grant program, providing eligible employees enhanced<br />
tuition assistance <strong>to</strong> attend a Bachelor of Science in<br />
Nursing or Masters of Science in Nursing at Allen<br />
College in Waterloo. Approximately 10% of nurses are<br />
taking advantage of this grant. Providing educational<br />
advancement is one more example of how <strong>St</strong>. Luke’s<br />
is dedicated <strong>to</strong> providing the best outcome for every<br />
patient, every time.<br />

<strong>St</strong>. Luke’s College Expansion<br />
The blueprint for <strong>St</strong>. Luke’s College calls for facility expansion<br />
and technology advancement. As the need for more healthcare<br />
professionals grows, the College is preparing for the future by<br />
expanding its current facility.<br />
