mark the coming of spring with<br />
an exciting event to celebrate<br />
the anniversary<br />
of the opening of<br />
the ic<strong>on</strong>ic Infinity<br />
Bridge.<br />
The bank holiday event<br />
will see the <strong>Borough</strong>’s<br />
school children and<br />
community groups<br />
lead local people in a<br />
magical lantern parade from bridge to<br />
bridge via the Riverside, culminating in<br />
the release of biodegradable Chinese<br />
style sky and river wish lanterns.<br />
Starting from the Princess of Wales<br />
Bridge the processi<strong>on</strong> will carry<br />
homemade lanterns, big and small and<br />
made out of willow, tissue and glue, to<br />
the Infinity Bridge and bey<strong>on</strong>d.<br />
Bring all the family<br />
down to the<br />
Riverside to marvel<br />
at the spectacle and<br />
join in the sunset<br />
processi<strong>on</strong>.<br />

Talented local writers<br />
Two very different local writers have seen their<br />
work published.<br />
Keen poet Janis Landless, 53, lives in <str<strong>on</strong>g>Stockt<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g> and her book<br />
‘Verse Variati<strong>on</strong>s’ touches <strong>on</strong> human emoti<strong>on</strong> of the heart –<br />
lost love and wanting love as well as spiritual poetry about<br />
