David A. Scholar lives in<br />

Scotch Plains, NJ, with his<br />

wife, Debi. Scholar works as a<br />

senior IT specialist for IBM.<br />

1979<br />

George Pearlman reports that<br />

his mother, Lucy Pearlman, has<br />

died: “I know that many in the<br />

<strong>Poly</strong> community have fond<br />

memories of her, and she so<br />

enjoyed the years she worked at<br />

<strong>Poly</strong> <strong>Prep</strong>.” Pearlman runs a<br />

contemporary ceramics gallery<br />

and studio, St. George Pottery,<br />

in St. George, ME. His work<br />

has appeared in shows at the<br />

Philadelphia Museum of Art,<br />

the Decordova Museum of<br />

Art, and the Montclair Art<br />

Museum. He recently visited<br />

with Warren Gunther in<br />

Seattle, where he spent a day at<br />

the zoo with him and his<br />

seven-year-old son, Jack.<br />

Pearlman also visited David<br />

Bezahler and his wife, Amber,<br />

at their home in Vancouver,<br />

BC. Pearlman writes: “I treasure<br />

these lifelong friendships<br />

that first started in fifth grade<br />

at <strong>Poly</strong> in 1971.”<br />

1980<br />

David S. Schuman is an<br />

attorney-advisor with NASA<br />

Goddard Space Flight Center.<br />

He and his wife Miriam<br />

(Kleinerman) ’82 attended<br />

Ed Ruck’s April retirement<br />
