Anderson, Co-Chair of MPI-CAC’s annual Educational Conference, is pleased to announce her new position! She is a new National Meeting Planner with Grant Thornton LLP. Special Honors... Congratulations to the DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau on a very special honor! The CVB, whose motto is “Discover DuPage: The Magnificent Miles West of Chicago TM ,” earned the Governor’s First Place Award for its Meeting Planners Guide in the category for media kits, meeting planning and group tour guides for organizations with an operating budget over $700,000. The award was presented at the annual Illinois Governor’s Conference on Tourism (held in Springfield). Hunter arrived weighing 7lbs 15oz and was 19.75 inches long. (Heinrich was the German given name of Jill’s grandpa “Hank.”) Congratulations to the entire family! Jill is an independent meeting professional. Look who’s in the news... A fellow MPI-CAC member saw this article and just had to let us know! MPI-CAC President Joyce Paschall, CMP, CMM loves her beagles! She was caught on camera at a recent beagle outing with her two beloved pets. Yes, Joyce is so passionate about these special canines that she founded a Palatine, IL beagle meet-up group, which has 80 members from across the suburbs. Joyce states that beagles’ small size and friendliness makes them great family dogs.
