Assist with the accumulating cost, etc. for submission to the Federal<br />

and State Governments for reimbursement.<br />

Assist in collection procedures of lost revenue to the City.<br />

Preserves City records<br />

Mitigates loss of city records through microfilming and requesting that<br />

all departments develop a disaster plan for records in their<br />

departments.<br />

The site plan review section of production assures that all new<br />

developments comply with traffic concurrency requirements. Also<br />

assures that finished floor elevations are in conformance with <strong>FEMA</strong><br />

requirements and assure that flooding will not be increased. The<br />

design section (PD& Evaluation) designs all city facilities to the above<br />

criteria; plans & designs flood control projects; shoreline protection;<br />

bridge replacements; traffic improvements, and upgrade the airpark.<br />

PD& Evaluation also has hazmat expertise in case of spills, crashes,<br />

etc.<br />

Provide plans and inspection to control possible loss too private and<br />

city facilities.<br />

Has provided a hurricane preparedness plan but is basically for pre &<br />

post activities by WPC employees at the plants. Provided emergency<br />

back-up power supply’s to maintain facility operation’s required by<br />

FDEP.<br />

Ensures continuous overall service operations.<br />

Provide general information and explains the role that employees<br />

serve in the emergency plan in the event of an<br />

emergency.(specifically, a hurricane)<br />

Helps address the needs of the employee, in relation to there<br />

activities during a disaster.<br />

Asst. installing shutters systems for city facilities, Provides inspection<br />

procedures for damage assessment after a disaster<br />

Helps reduce damage to structures throughout the city<br />

Serves as a point of contact/ liaison for certain business industries<br />

within the city.<br />

Coordinates mitigation policies with hotel / motel industry related<br />

businesses.<br />
