AutoFIX
A wide range of stainless steel and titanium screws.
Standard surgical technique
AutoFIX – Indications
1
1. Determine the position of the drill hole and drill to the opposite cortex
through both fragments over a ø 0.9 x 80 mm K-wire, using the drill guide.
Scarf Osteotomy
2
2. Read screw length from the calibrated screw-driver and add 2 mm for the
thickness of the opposite cortex (which has not been breached).
Chevron Osteotomy
3
3. Use the countersink over the guide wire to prepare the proximal cortex.
Weil Osteotomy
4
4. Select the appropriate screw length (as previouslymeasured + 2 mm) and
insert the screw over the guide wire with the screwdriver.
Proximal
Phalangeal Osteotomy
For bone fixation, ø 2.0 or 2.5 mm screws can be used, depending on the type of bone and on
the screw length that is necessary for axial fixation.
For insertion of titanium screws, drill with the countersink to assist the screws positionment.
Applications
• MTP Arthrodesis
• Scaphoid osteosynthesis
• DIP Arthrodesis
• 4 Bones Arthrodesis
• Radial Head
• Sauvé-Kapandji
• Any osteosynthesis or arthrodesis of small bones
Features & Benefits
• The moderated compression avoid risk of
“overcompression”
• The threads shapes offer a better bone purchase
• A wide range of stainless steel and titanium screws to
address a wide variety of needs
