• Lexington & Boston (later Middlesex<br />

& Boston) Box Car 41 – all diner-era<br />

additions removed, straightening<br />

<strong>the</strong> body, considering proper trucks,<br />

discovering original decorations, 14<br />

original sash were repaired<br />

• Boston Elevated Railway Center<br />

Entrance Car 6131 - Air brake piping<br />

and control wiring installed, control<br />

box installed, contracts let for<br />

milling wood floor and body sheet<br />

metal, motor overhaul estimates<br />

obtained<br />

• Twin City Rapid Transit Gate Car<br />

1267-side and rear wainscoting<br />

boards painted and installed, belt<br />

rails spliced.<br />

• Denver & South Platte Birney Car<br />

1 – All side sheets fitted ready for<br />

riveting, corner posts fabricated<br />

• Philadelphia Rapid Transit Nearside<br />

Car 6618 –All sash rebuilt, lower<br />

side angle/sill rust removed, painted,<br />

side wood panels installed, ready for<br />

steel exterior panels.<br />

Control wiring drawings prepared,<br />

first operation in 50 years , MG set<br />

non-functional<br />

• New Haven Closed Car 1160 –Outof-round<br />

wheel problem corrected,<br />

car now in regular service<br />

• New Haven Open Car 838–<br />

Headlining removed for replacement.<br />

Light and motor control wiring in<br />

process of replacement<br />

• New Jersey Transit PCC Car 5 –<br />

Five-color exterior paint scheme<br />

in process, pantograph hardware<br />

removed, prepare for return of<br />

trolley pole.<br />

• Boston Elevated Railway Type 5 Car<br />

5821 – Motor bearing problem keeps<br />

out of service, roof/gutter repairs<br />

started, heaters now work<br />

• Advertising cards –Many more now<br />

available with help from Illinois<br />
