Magnolia Manor of Marion County’s
“Love Light Tree”
At Christmas time, Magnolia Manor
of Marion County lights up the
community with the “Love Light Tree,”
is a special fundraiser sponsored by the
nursing home’s Auxiliary. This year’s
proceeds will go to the Residents’ Fund.
As the Americus Campus got
“dressed” for Christmas, residents of
the Retirement Center participated in
a Door Decorating Contest. There were
many beautiful displays of handcrafted
wreaths, fancy and funny doors, and
family heirloom decorations.
The residents and their family
members enjoyed themselves and
the staff really appreciated a very
festive work place!
On December 7th, residents came
out to honor the military men and
women by writing Christmas cards to
injured soldiers. In each card residents
shared their thoughts and prayers for
the soldiers and thanked them for their
brave service. Over three dozen cards
were sent to Walter Reed Army Medical
Center in Washington, D.C.
