PROJECT TITLE: Creative Pathways in Adult Education<br />

Project description<br />

The project is addressed to Adult Education, aiming at providing new <strong>learning</strong> opportunities for all adult learners. It<br />

aims at creating good quality unconventional <strong>learning</strong> methodologies, capable of constantly renewing the basic<br />

skills of E. U. citizens and enabling them to deal with the challenges and developing technologies of the changing<br />

world. This partnership will bring together Learners, Educators and Adult Education Organisations from different<br />

geographical areas of Europe in order to help them identify and try innovative <strong>learning</strong> methods and good practices.<br />

They will exchange experience, methodology, and cultural aspects and learn from each other and cooperate in the<br />

development of new teaching approaches in Adult Education. We will focus on the similarities and the differences<br />

of the participating countries in order to agree on common ways of teaching Adults, and decide on an educational<br />

tool for adult education, which will motivate adults to actively participate in life-long education in a <strong>European</strong><br />

dimension through workshops in Art.Using creative activity areas (dance, handicraft, and the art of communicative<br />

behaviour – eg. communication, etiquette, oratory) the partnership will stimulate motivation to learn and gain new<br />

competencies, will turn workshops into a wonderful means of self-expression, communication, making <strong>learning</strong><br />

useful and pleasant perspective hobby, which also satisfies one’s curiosity, creating innovative teaching methods<br />

for adults , using Art as a means of Education. Tangible results - a travelling exhibition “Intercultural space: I watch,<br />

learn and teach”, a cognitive-educational film with the same, a “Blog”, and an E-Portfolio. Intangible results - the<br />

opportunity to acquire and develop 4 main competencies of adult <strong>learning</strong>: Personal (self-cognition, self-confidence,<br />

self-esteem, self-expression); Educational (creative thinking, flexibility of thinking, life long <strong>learning</strong>); Social<br />

(communication and collaboration, team work); Professional (knowledge of specific areas, competencies, skills,<br />

attitude towards <strong>learning</strong> quality) – feedback on these competencies will be provided in the form of questionnaires.<br />
