The tested temperature at the base of a DAN SKAN stove is a maximum of only 50º C – less than the temperature of a central heating radiator, so that a DAN SKAN stove could safely sit directly on a wooden floor. The real beauty of a DAN SKAN cutaway glass hearth is that it can be easily lifted up so that the floor can be kept clean underneath. There‘s a cutaway hearth for most models in the DAN SKAN Classic range and all of the new Modern Line range. Each one will fit snuggly against the front of the stove like two pieces of a jigsaw coming together. Please note that all stove hearths are subject to local and national building regulations.
