• Operate the Port profitably in order to fund
future investment and growth requirements
• Invest in capital projects that deliver
sustainable financial returns and that are in
the Public Interest
• Grow marine capacity to meet the needs of
a growing economy
• Ensure that the land portfolio is utilised to
secure funding streams for Port development
• Achieve an appropriate Constitutional
model for the Port which resolves the issues
associated with Public Corporation status
and which provides an acceptable level of
