Andri Hess is a board member of the Swiss group of AIPPI (Association Internationale
pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle). He is a member of AIPPI, ASA (Swiss
Arbitration Association), GRUR (Deutsche Vereinigung für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz
und Urheberrecht e.V.), INGRES (Institut für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz), as well as the
Zurich and the Swiss Bar Associations. He has published several articles and held
presentations before Swiss, German and international professional associations on
research and Bolar-type exemptions in Swiss, European and US law, contributory
infringement, jurisdiction of Swiss courts in cross-border IP litigation, patent trolls from
a Swiss law perspective and procedural matters. He is fluent in German and English.
