Andri Hess is a Partner in Homburger's IP | IT practice team. He has extensive in<br />
experience in representing clients in patent (including supplementary protection<br />
certificates), copyright, trademark, other IP rights and unfair competition litigation and<br />
arbitration in a broad range of technical and industrial fields and within international<br />
contexts, as well as in negotiating and drafting IP and sports rights related contracts.<br />
He has also represented clients in regulatory matters before the Swiss Agency for<br />
Therapeutic Products and the Federal Office of Public Health.
Andri Hess is a board member of the Swiss group of <strong>AIPPI</strong> (Association Internationale<br />
pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle). He is a member of <strong>AIPPI</strong>, ASA (Swiss<br />
Arbitration Association), GRUR (Deutsche Vereinigung für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz<br />
und Urheberrecht e.V.), INGRES (Institut für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz), as well as the<br />
Zurich and the Swiss Bar Associations. He has published several articles and held<br />
presentations before Swiss, German and international professional associations on<br />
research and Bolar-type exemptions in Swiss, European and US law, contributory<br />
infringement, jurisdiction of Swiss courts in cross-border IP litigation, patent trolls from<br />
a Swiss law perspective and procedural matters. He is fluent in German and English.<br />
