CHÂTEAU ROQUEFORT
In 1976, Jean Bellanger, a textile industrialist, fell in love with Roquefort and
succumbed to his desire to plant vine and produce wine. Frédéric took over from his
father in 1995. Boasting the same determination, he is continuing the development
of the estate. In 2002, he fell under the charm of the Château Domi-Cours with its
unexploited potential, situated 45 minutes away from Château Roquefort. He
decided to use this high quality terroir and efficient equipment to add other
dimensions to the wines proposed by the Vignobles Bellanger. Today Frédéric is at
the head of an estate of over a hundred hectares of vines.
CHÂTEAU DE BRIGUE
Château de Brigue started in 1970 as a family venture. Following the
founder Roger Brun’s steps, his son Fernand developed the domain and
today third generation winemakers, brothers Jean-Michel, Christian,
Olivier, and Frederic Brun carry on the tradition in this family owned
generation, Château de Brigue raised to an institution of superior
winemaking and one of the largest family domains in Provence. The
four brothers all master a specific area of the estate (financial,
commercial, technical…) and have succeeded to create an incredible
diversity of blend.
This Armagnac is made of a blend of three different
eaux de vie from three different vintages. Easy to
drink, it has fruity aromas with woody notes.
The wine, low on alcohol, is distilled very quickly after
the end of the fermentation process in a traditional
Armagnac still and on a low degree of alcohol (54%)
to keep the maximum of aromas.
The story of cognac begins, oddly enough, with
spoiled wine. The French people of Cognac found
a solution by distilling the wine twice and then
aged it in oak barrels. Tremendously smooth and
mellow, it became known as cognac. The
Abecassis family produces one of the finest
cognacs. The complexity of ABK6 eau-de-vie
defies description: it is elegant, refined and subtle
with an extraordinary palate of flavours.
