PLACEMENT EXAM INFORMATION<br />
IMPORT INFORMATION: Placement exams <strong>of</strong>fered are<br />
<strong>at</strong> different times during the week <strong>of</strong> Orient<strong>at</strong>ion. Be sure<br />
to check the requirements for your major to see if you will<br />
need to take these placement exams. For a list <strong>of</strong> major<br />

Chemistry Placement Exam<br />
<strong>Student</strong>s who wish to enroll in CHEM 114 or CHEM 124<br />
(General Chemistry I) and have not passed CHEM 114 (or<br />
the equivalent) with a “C” or better are required to take<br />
the chemistry placement exam. Advanced registr<strong>at</strong>ion is<br />
required for this exam.<br />

Only <strong>Student</strong>s who are planning to register for 300 or<br />
400-level business courses or QBA 260 for the spring need to<br />

<strong>Hilo</strong> for the first time must take this exam. <strong>Student</strong>s may<br />
be eligible for a waiver if they meet certain requirements.
