Construction and material: Same<br />

materials as the Gansner hose pack, only a<br />

different configuration that does not deploy<br />

hose as the firefighter advances. The 12-<br />

inch hose is used to suppress wildfire, and<br />

the 1-inch hose is used for laterals that are<br />

only charged when and if needed after the<br />

initial suppression action. Can be utilized<br />

in heavier fuels where more water volume<br />

is desired. Requires no packboard,<br />

stiffness of hose is used as support. Hose<br />

is bound with nylon shroud cord and 12-<br />

inch hose is looped for shoulder straps.<br />

Contains a 12-inch gated wye valve with<br />

reducer and adapter. Approximate weight<br />

with hose is 22 pounds. A training CD is<br />

also available.<br />
