The author is a research <strong>and</strong> teach<strong>in</strong>g associate<br />

at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology <strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>Europe</strong>an Ethnology at Frankfurt/Ma<strong>in</strong><br />

University <strong>in</strong> Germany. Currently she is work<strong>in</strong>g<br />

on her Ph.D. which deals with labour migration<br />

to tourist areas <strong>in</strong> Crete <strong>and</strong> Cyprus. She can be<br />
