Nakheel Properties honors Dubai Electricity and<br />
Water Authority<br />
Nakheel Properties’ Board of Directors<br />
has honored Dubai Electricity<br />
and Water Authority for its efforts to<br />
provide the electricity and water<br />
needs of Nakheel projects. His Excellency<br />
Saeed Mohammed <strong>Al</strong> Tayer,<br />
MD & CEO, has received The Honorary<br />
Shield from His Excellency <strong>Al</strong>i<br />
Rashid Lootah, Chairman of Nakheel<br />
Properties, in a ceremony attended by<br />
a number of officials from both sides.<br />
His Excellency Saeed <strong>Al</strong> Tayer, MD<br />
& CEO of DEWA, expressed his pleasure<br />
for this recognition. HE further<br />
stressed the importance of promoting<br />
collaboration between DEWA and<br />
Nakheel in different fields of mutual<br />
interest so as to serve national economy.<br />
On this occasion, His Excellency <strong>Al</strong>i<br />
Rashid Lootah, Chairman of Nakheel<br />
Properties, said: “This successful collaboration<br />
reflects the importance of<br />
implementing the vision and making<br />
it a reality. We are really delighted<br />
because of the continuous efforts between<br />
Nakheel and DEWA to deliver<br />
and streamline services in compliance<br />
with the requirements of Nakheel’s<br />
existing projects.”<br />
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority wins<br />
“Investor In People” Award – Gold Category<br />
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority<br />
has won “Investor in People”<br />
Award – Gold Category after having<br />
successfully passed the successful<br />
evaluation process conducted by the<br />
Awards Evaluation Committee in the<br />
UK during June 2011. DEWA has been<br />
selected among six winners from outside<br />
the UK, and the first in the Middle<br />
East. This Award is regarded as an international<br />
criterion, which relies on<br />
determining the level of distinguished<br />
participation of training and development<br />
through human resources with<br />
the purpose of achieving the objectives<br />
of business.<br />
It’s noteworthy that the award evaluation<br />
process is comprised of three<br />
stages; planning, implementation and<br />
review. Planning comprises preparing<br />
strategies to improve performance,<br />
business strategy, learning and devel-<br />
opment, human resources management,<br />
leadership and management. Implementation<br />
includes performing procedures<br />
so as to improve performance.<br />
These procedures include effective<br />
management, appreciation, awards,<br />
participation and empowerment, learning<br />
and development. Review is based<br />
on evaluating and improving performance,<br />
measuring performance and<br />
continuous improvement.<br />
