at Kariba Power Station, the rehabilitation of the transmission<br />
and distribution infrastructure in the country, Investing in<br />
Greenfield projects, such as the Batoka Hydro Power Station,<br />
Gokwe North Thermal Power Station, and the Lupane Gas<br />
Project. There is also the need to expand on private power<br />
generation.<br />
5.3 Water<br />
5.3.1 Government through the Ministry of Water resources will ensure<br />
that there is rehabilitation of water and sewerage plants, supply<br />
of quality clean water, water distribution and enhancement of<br />
billing and collection system in industry including replacement<br />
of non-functional meters and installation for all new connections.<br />
5.4 Roads Network<br />
5.4.1 For ease transportation of raw materials and products for industry,<br />
the Ministry of Transport Infrastructure and Communications will<br />
ensure the improving, enhancing and extending of existing road<br />
network.<br />
5.5 Rail Network<br />
5.5.1 The Ministry of Transport Infrastructure and Communications<br />
will ensure through the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ)<br />
the revamping and rehabilitation of the national rail network<br />
which is essential for bulk and cheap movement of cargo.<br />
5.6 Air Transport<br />
5.6.1 The Ministry of Transport Infrastructure and Communications<br />
will also support the open skies <strong>policy</strong>, but this will be done<br />
in a prudent manner, especially ensuring that our own airline<br />
