the reported average <strong>of</strong> GH¢ 150.00. <strong>Workers</strong> <strong>in</strong> the Northern region earn<br />

In summary the average monthly gross pay (GH¢ 150.00) reported by the<br />
respondents <strong>in</strong> this survey is almost twice the national m<strong>in</strong>imum wage<br />
(GH¢ 84.00). The results also support the evidence that higher education<br />
correspond positively with earn<strong>in</strong>gs levels. Similarly with age, the results<br />
show that pay levels <strong>in</strong>itially <strong>in</strong>creases with age <strong>and</strong> falls after 60 years.<br />
