MESSAGE FROM SENSEI<br />
A Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great holiday. We will be<br />
participating in five PATMA tournaments this year, starting from February.<br />
Also, we raised $1,237.00 from our fundraiser and I would like to<br />
thank everyone greatly for their participation and cooperation. These<br />
funds will be used for the expense of our upcoming tournaments, which<br />
includes a part of our students' entry fee for these tournaments. Last<br />
year was a great year and lets make this one even better.<br />

Congratulations to everyone who participated in this event, you all worked hard, and it is great to see how everyone has improved<br />
over the past year. Keep up the good work. Thank you also to all the parents and volunteers for your dedication and the<br />
great food that helped make this tournament a success.<br />
SPOT LIGHT STUDENTS<br />
Congratulations to Deion (8 yrs old) and Deanna Pagaduan, (7yrs old) who excelled at the recent Hollenbeck Invitational and<br />
Soka University <strong>Karate</strong> Championships recently. Deion place 1st in Kata and 3rd in Kumite at Soka, and 3rd in Kata and 3rd in<br />
Kumite at Hollenbeck. Meanwhile, Deanne placed 1st in Kata at the Hollenbeck event. Both kids started their karate lessons at<br />
the main dojo in July. They are always trying hard and have great coordination. They are terrific kids. Great job.
