At HCA hospitals our average waiting time for cancer patients from referral to surgery is 21 days,<br />
with a median of 8 days. This includes patients who choose to delay their surgery due to personal<br />
circumstances and when this surgery is non-urgent.<br />
As a result the mode is 8 days from referral to 1st operation.<br />
In the NHS the average waiting time is 62 days.<br />
