Programme to support implementation should therefore be<br />
channelled into this approach. The next steps can involve<br />
APANPIRG formalizing the work group approach mentioned<br />
in 32 <strong>and</strong> developing it as a model for use by other planning<br />
<strong>and</strong> implementation regional groups (PIRGs). This would be<br />
a natural development since other PIRGs have defined areas<br />
of interest which extend beyond their region. In addition,<br />
when such an approach gathers momentum it can serve as a<br />

key element of <strong>ICAO</strong>’s inter-regional planning which strives<br />
to balance global <strong>and</strong> regional priorities through bodies such<br />
as ALLPIRG or an ALLPIRG sub-group.<br />
34. <strong>ICAO</strong> is active in all the above areas <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong>s<br />
ready to support initiatives by all partners in the planning<br />
process to achieve the steps towards the safe <strong>and</strong> efficient<br />
implementation of the planned infrastructure.
