Peter Fitzsimmons OBE<br />

Patron of <strong>Triathlon</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong><br />

Peter Fitzsimmons maintains a wide<br />

range of community and sporting<br />

interests.<br />

He is currently a Trustee of North<br />

Shore Hospice, The Spirit of<br />

Adventure Trust, The Mount Maunganui Lifeguard Service<br />

Foundation, The <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> Triathlete Youth Trust, and a<br />

Justice of <strong>the</strong> Peace and a Rotarian.<br />

He has served as President of <strong>the</strong> Rotary Club of Auckland,<br />

Surfing NZ, <strong>Triathlon</strong> NZ, Surf Lifesaving NZ and has<br />

been a Chairman of North Harbour Stadium Trust.<br />

Peter was awarded a SPARC Lifetime Achievement Award<br />

in 2009 for his service <strong>to</strong> Surf Lifesaving, <strong>Triathlon</strong> and<br />

Surfing.<br />

Professionally Peter provides independent direc<strong>to</strong>r, trustee<br />

and business advisory services <strong>to</strong> a range of companies<br />

and organisations.<br />

Currently he is Chairman of Instant Finance Limited,<br />

a Direc<strong>to</strong>r of Counties Power Limited, Workforce<br />

Development Limited and a Trustee of The Apprenticeship<br />

Training Trust.<br />

Peter is an Accredited Member and Fellow of <strong>the</strong> Institute<br />

of Direc<strong>to</strong>rs NZ and a Life Member of Tri NZ.<br />

Tom Pryde, Founding partner<br />

of Cruickshank Pryde Law Firm<br />

has been involved in <strong>the</strong> sport<br />

of <strong>Triathlon</strong> in <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> from<br />

day one. Tom along with o<strong>the</strong>rs<br />

was instrumental in bringing <strong>the</strong><br />

2003 World Championships <strong>to</strong><br />

Queens<strong>to</strong>wn along with a raft of o<strong>the</strong>r International Events<br />

<strong>to</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong>. Tom is a Life Member of Tri NZ.<br />
