Rules For Riding
Reglas Para Montar
After boarding, quickly take a seat and remain seated
while the bus is in motion. If the bus is crowded, and
you have to stand, please stand behind the yellow
lines and move as far to the rear of the bus as
possible, holding the the handrails or straps. Please
remember, the front seats are reserved for senior
citizens and persons with disabilities. We require
that you:
✔ Be ready with exact change, bus pass or
transfer BEFORE you board. If paying with a
discounted fare, show the required ID to the
driver.
✔ Don’t forget to signal to your driver to stop.
Your driver needs to know that you need to
board.
✔ Keep arms, legs and personal belongings out
of the aisle.
✔ If you have a stroller, please fold it up and
store it out of the way of other passengers. Nonfolding
strollers should be taken to the back of the
bus. While you are riding, hold babies and small
children on your lap. For their safety, children are
not allowed to board, exit, or ride while in a
stroller.
✔ Do not eat, smoke or drink on the bus.Please
do not use profanity on the bus. And no feet on
the seats, please.
✔ All music players must be used with
headphones.
✔ As soon as the bus passes the stop before
your destination, please press the signal tape to
alert the driver you’ll be getting off at the next
stop.
✔ Service animals are allowed to accompany
persons with disabilities. That person is
responsible for the actions of the animal while
aboard the bus.
✔ Pets may only ride the bus if they are in a
secure pet carrier that fits in your lap.
✔ Never run alongside a moving bus. Do not
attempt to board a bus which has pulled away from
the curb; drivers are not allowed to stop once they
depart.
✔ Do not act or make comments that could be
perceived as threatening to other passengers or your
driver. Omnitrans supports the United States Patriot
Act of 2001,which strengthens laws against
terrorism, and makes it a federal crime to commit
violent acts against mass transportation workers,
vehicles and facilities.
Después de subir, siéntese rápidamente y permanezca
sentado mientras el autobús se encuentre en movimiento.
Si el autobús está lleno y debe ir parado, permanezca
detrás de las líneas amarillas y pase a la parte posterior del
autobús siempre que sea posible, tomándose de las
barandas o correas. Recuerde: los asientos en la parte
delantera están reservados para ancianos y personas con
discapacidades. Le pedimos lo siguiente:
✔ Tenga preparado el cambio justo, pase de autobús o
tiquete de trasbordo ANTES de abordar. Si paga con una
tarifa de descuento, enseñe la identificación requerida al
conductor.
✔ No olvide hacerle señas al conductor para que pare.
El conductor necesita saber que usted desea subir.
✔ Mantenga brazos, piernas y efectos personales fuera
del pasillo del autobús.
✔ Si tiene un coche para bebés, pliéguelo y manténgalo
fuera del paso de otros pasajeros. Los coches para bebés
que no se pliegan deben ser llevados a la parte posterior
del autobús. Mientras viaje en el autobús, sostenga a los
bebés y niños pequeños en su regazo. Por su seguridad,
los niños no deben abordar, viajar o bajar mientras estén
en un coche para bebés.
✔ No coma, fume ni beba en el autobús. No use
lenguaje obsceno en el autobús. Y no coloque los pies
sobre los asientos.
✔ Todos los reproductores de música deben ser usados
con auriculares.
✔ Tan pronto como el autobús pasa por la parada antes
del destino, por favor presione la cinta de señal para
alertar al conductor se le bajarse en la siguiente parada.
✔ Los animales de servicio pueden acompañar a las
personas con discapacidades. Dicha persona es
responsable por las acciones del animal mientras se
encuentre a bordo del autobús.
✔ Las mascotas sólo pueden ir en el autobús adentro de
una jaula para mascotas segura que quepa sobre su
regazo.
✔ Nunca corra junto a un autobús en movimiento. No
intente abordar un autobús que se ha alejado del bordillo.
Los conductores no tienen permitido detenerse una vez
que han partido.
✔ No actúe ni haga comentarios que puedan ser
percibidos como amenazas por otros pasajeros o el
conductor. Omnitrans apoya la Ley Patriota de los
Estados Unidos de 2001, la cual refuerza las leyes contra
el terrorismo y hace que sea un delito federal cometer
actos violentos en contra de trabajadores, vehículos y
establecimientos de transporte masivo de pasajeros.
