with renewed energy, driving Kira’s hordes back one last<br />
time!<br />
OISHI<br />
HOUSE ASANO!!<br />
BACK ATOP THE WALL<br />
Seeing their leader tumble off the wall like a swath of<br />
night, the remaining ninja show fear for the first time and<br />
hesitate...and it <strong>is</strong> their undoing.<br />
Okuda and the others race back, and it <strong>is</strong> only a matter of<br />
moments before the ronin d<strong>is</strong>patch them in similar fashion.<br />
Chikara and Hazama then lead the men to the CANNON and, using<br />
all their strength, TURN IT to face the INNER GATE. IGNITE<br />
the fuse and --<br />
KA-BOOOM! <strong>The</strong> cannon ball SMASHES a man-sized hole through<br />
the gate and SHREDS the few defenders on the other side in a<br />
BLAST OF SPLINTERS!<br />
Instantly, the Hazama and Okuda reload the cannon from a pile<br />
of ANTI-INFANTRY CHAIN SHOT stored nearby, reposition the<br />
cannon and -- BOOOOM!<br />
VFX: we FOLLOW the chain shot as it flies and CLEARS A BLOODY<br />
PATH through Kira’s samurai from O<strong>is</strong>hi’s main force to the<br />
BLAST HOLE in the inner gate.<br />
OISHI<br />
recognizes h<strong>is</strong> chance and --<br />
OISHI<br />
RONIN, TO ME!<br />
-- CHARGES through the GORE PATH before the parted red sea<br />
can crash back together.<br />
O<strong>is</strong>hi and h<strong>is</strong> ronin race across the courtyard and duck<br />
through the blast hole in the gate -- then turn and plug the<br />
gap with their swords.<br />
Kira’s legions try to carve their way through, but the gap in<br />
the heavy door only allows them through one at a time. <strong>The</strong><br />
result <strong>is</strong> a samurai blender -- Kira’s men rushing through<br />
only to meet their bloody fates at the angry blades of the <strong>47</strong><br />
ronin. Stalemate. Kira’s overwhelming strength of their<br />
numbers has been temporarily neutralized.
