ABOUT THE COURSE<br />

The rapid growth <strong>of</strong> dairy process<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>dustry can<br />

be attributed to the fast chang<strong>in</strong>g technology.<br />

Innovation is the key word for the companies<br />

which are striv<strong>in</strong>g for greater market share <strong>in</strong> the<br />

highly competitive market. The course<br />

curriculum has been designed to cover broadly<br />

R&D advancement <strong>in</strong> novel dairy food products,<br />

emerg<strong>in</strong>g process<strong>in</strong>g technologies, packag<strong>in</strong>g<br />

material <strong>and</strong> systems, equipment etc. The<br />

program comprises <strong>of</strong> theory lectures <strong>and</strong><br />

practical exercises/demonstrations by scientists<br />

from NDRI <strong>and</strong> guest faculty from dairy <strong>and</strong> food<br />

research <strong>in</strong>stitutes <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong>dustry.<br />

ELIGIBILITY<br />

The tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g is open for faculty <strong>of</strong> SAU’s, ICAR<br />

Institutes <strong>and</strong> Central Universities with Master’s<br />

degree, work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the cadre not below the rank<br />

<strong>of</strong> Scientist, Assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor or equivalent<br />

from the Faculties <strong>of</strong> Dairy Science, Agriculture,<br />

Agriculture Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, Horticulture, Food<br />

science <strong>and</strong> Technology, Veter<strong>in</strong>ary sciences <strong>and</strong><br />

Home Science.<br />

T.A. & ACCOMMODATION<br />

Expenses on lodg<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> board<strong>in</strong>g arrangements<br />

for selected participants will be borne by the<br />

organizers. TA to the participants from SAU’s<br />

<strong>and</strong> other ICAR <strong>in</strong>stitutions will be paid as per<br />

their entitlement for the class <strong>of</strong> travel restricted<br />

to the maximum <strong>of</strong> AC II Tier fare by the shortest<br />

route. Participants are required to produce the<br />
