Assembly Instructions
Please read these carefully before assembling the Airflex
Airflex
www.trakkerproducts.co.uk

Place the ground sheet in the area you want to erect your Airflex; a small Trakker label
indicates the position of the doorway.
Place the Airflex in the centre of the ground sheet, Kneel down and splay the arms of the
bivvy, plugging together the frame sections as you go. Ensure the spigots are fully
inserted or damage may occur when put under tension. Do not attempt to assemble the
Airflex whilst you are stood up.
The now assembled frame should be wider than the ground sheet, next attach the
tension strap to the two rings on the inside edges of the base plates. This will tensions
the frame and takes up any play in spigots. Do not over tension the frame.
Peg the rings out at the rear of the Airflex using the ground sheet as rough guide.
Please note the ground sheet is slightly oversized to allow for uneven ground, so do not
stretch it out too tight. Next, remove any pegs you have used to hold the ground sheet in
position, note that the ground sheet is only a rough guide and adjustments can be made
in any direction. Insert two pegs through the rings at either side of the bivvy door and
pull the Airflex forward, pegging down again using the ground sheet as rough guide. Do
not fully tension the Airflex with the aluminium rings, use the rubber bands above and
link them round the tops of the pegs. The draft skirt must be tucked under the ground
sheet for maximum effectiveness.
The porch sections must be installed last. Simply plug the porch frame together and slot
each side on to the two aluminium lugs which are located either side of the door on the
front rib of your Airflex. Once you have your bivvy erected, install the frame support, this
will add stability and allow you to fish with the front of your Airflex fully rolled up.
The door is fitted with two-way zips so it may be opened from the top or bottom, The
door is longer than the bivvy so it can act as draft skirt and be tucked under the ground
sheet. Please note the zips on the door will not match in length and this is normal.
Dis-assembly
To dissemble the Airflex, start with the porch and reverse the assembly procedure. Unpeg
and collapse the frame then release the tension by disconnecting the tension strap
and unplug the frame sections. It may help if you shake the pole slightly as you unplug
the frame sections, this will help release the spigot. Fold the arms into the middle as you
go, making sure there is no material wrapped around the ends of the pole sections as
this could damage the cover, especially if repeated over a period of time.
The Airflex comes supplied with hardened steel pegs and these are adequate for good
ground conditions but specialist pegs will be required for gravel, sand etc.

Aftercare
In order to stop mildew from forming and damaging your bivvy it is very important to dry
them out as soon as possible after use. If you do not have the space to fully open at
home then remove your bivvy from the outer bag and open it as much as possible,
turning it every few hours until fully dry. Treat the fabric when necessary (usually every
one or two years) with Fabsil gold, this will replenish the fabric’s water repellent
properties and extend the bivvys life.
Please Note
Failure to dry your Airflex completely and store as instructed may invalidate any
guarantee on this product.
