includes grants and program expenses; for others,<br />

total giving amount includes only grants. Most<br />

operating foundations’ qualifying distributions are<br />

paid out for administration of operating programs<br />

and not for grants.<br />

Community <strong>Foundation</strong> Silicon Valley merged to<br />
