Reed and Krug led the field to the start<br />

of the Junior II Heavy feature Wednesday<br />

night. Twenty of the 27 Competitors<br />

came across the line at the end of the first<br />

lap - two and even three wide. A caution<br />

followed, which led to a lengthy delay<br />

in trying to determine the scoring of the<br />

previous lap. Back underway multiple<br />

lead changing occurred up to the lap<br />

five caution which put Ballhagen at the<br />

top for the restart, followed by Nichols<br />

and Brotherton. Through the next series<br />

of laps, (B-Main transfer) Goettl jumped<br />

to the lead and led through lap 10, only<br />

to get passed by Krug on lap 11. Second,<br />

3rd & 4th continued to swap positions<br />

through the final laps. The final lap<br />

determined the outcome as Ferguson<br />

got by Krug to take the checkers. Brotherton<br />

finished 3rd, Preston 4th and Ballhagen<br />

finished 5th.<br />

Twenty entrants qualified out of 30<br />

for the Stock Medium Feature – the<br />

final show of Wednesday night. Helgeson<br />

and Prochaska let the field to the<br />

start. Spanel jumped to the early lead<br />

followed by Krug and Mork. Mork got<br />

by both Krug and Spanel and led up to<br />

the caution at lap eight. After the restart,<br />

Mork continued to lead with Krug following<br />

with all other positions in the<br />

top ten swapping every lap. Helgeson<br />

and Kalin both managed to get by Mork<br />

at lap14, but Mork kept them in tow. A<br />

caution after lap 15 saw the top three as<br />

Helgeson, Kalin and Mork. Cautions to<br />

get the last five laps in were prevalent.<br />

The 16th completed lap saw Kalin put<br />

to the rear for the ensuing caution and<br />

the 17th lap became the final as there<br />

were 42 laps in the book. The finish<br />

to the checkers ended with Helgeson,<br />

Mork, Krug, Snyder and Zomer claiming<br />

top five finishes.<br />

There were 15 entrants for the first<br />

feature on Thursday night. Sixteen year<br />

old Dillon Sampson captured the pole,<br />

and led all of the adult veterans to the<br />

green flag. As the race got underway, it<br />

was Sampson and Mulder leading the<br />

way. At lap three, Mulder was tagged<br />

with bringing out the caution and sent<br />

to the rear. Sampson again took charge,<br />

followed by Ballhagen and Sackreiter.<br />

The race continued from lap five to 20<br />

under green with few position changes.<br />
