Reed and Krug led the field to the start
of the Junior II Heavy feature Wednesday
night. Twenty of the 27 Competitors
came across the line at the end of the first
lap - two and even three wide. A caution
followed, which led to a lengthy delay
in trying to determine the scoring of the
previous lap. Back underway multiple
lead changing occurred up to the lap
five caution which put Ballhagen at the
top for the restart, followed by Nichols
and Brotherton. Through the next series
of laps, (B-Main transfer) Goettl jumped
to the lead and led through lap 10, only
to get passed by Krug on lap 11. Second,
through the final laps. The final lap
determined the outcome as Ferguson
got by Krug to take the checkers. Brotherton
finished 3rd, Preston 4th and Ballhagen
finished 5th.
