KNOW FAITH,
NO FEAR!
Each time I share how I started Arbonne, it puts a smile on my face.
My sponsor, ENVP Jennifer Harbour, is also my sister. So, it may not
surprise you that one day she called me on the phone and said, “I
do not care what you say, you are doing this business with me!” I
had an eight-year career as a makeup artist and was completing
esthetician licensing, so she sent me a sample of the skin care and
I absolutely fell in love with the product. I also fell in love with the
Arbonne opportunity after my husband and I took a closer look at
the potential compensation plan.
When I started my business, my plate was full, to say the least. As a
wife and mother of a 4 year old, I was pregnant with my second
child, working full time, and attending school in the evenings to complete
my esthetician licensing. I did not have time for Presentations,
meetings, or many one-on-ones. However, I never left my house without
samples and business cards and I talked to everyone. I knew I
had a golden opportunity in my hands and I was not going to give
myself any excuses. I remember thinking, This is so awesome. I can
have all of this going on in my life and still be able to build an
Arbonne business.
Although I was consistent and focused, fear was in my way and I
struggled in my business. I was working my business but getting
nowhere. For the longest time, it seemed I could not get past District.
I allowed fear to dictate my belief, and it paralyzed me. I was like
a caged bird in a pet shop. I could clearly see Arbonne was an
open door to my freedom, but I was more afraid of what was outside
of the cage, than the prison I was in.

I invite you, right now, to see your life as a canvas that you paint, or
allow others to paint for you. Sometimes, we place our paintbrush
into the hands of others and give them permission to choose our
palette of colors instead of choosing them ourselves. We allow opinions,
accusations, opposition, fear, worry, pride, hurt, sickness,
depression, rejection and lack of courage to consume us. We make
the choice to sit back and watch our canvas go from a beautiful sunrise
to a dark, bleak thunderstorm. I know how paralyzing all of these
things can be, because for a very long time this was my canvas that
I allowed others to paint. When you begin to look inside and make
the necessary changes, awesome things begin to take place.

fingerprints on the windows and your footprints on my heart.
To my sister, best friend and sponsor, ENVP Jennifer Harbour: I love
you. We always knew we would build something incredible together
and here we are years later living our dream with Arbonne. To
Scott: We are so blessed to have you in our family. I could not have
made it to Region without both of you by my side. I love you.
To my mom: I can only hope that I will be to my children what you
have been to me. I look back and realize, there was not a single
moment in my life that you were not there for me. Your prayers,
love, and support strengthen me everyday of my life. When I felt like
nobody else believed in me, it did not matter as long as I knew you
did. I love you.
