Found<strong>at</strong>ion Stone Laying Ceremony <strong>of</strong> <strong>DSE</strong> <strong>Tower</strong><br />

<strong>at</strong> <strong>Nikunja</strong> on February 24, 2007<br />

Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed, honourable Chief Advisor <strong>of</strong> the Government <strong>of</strong> Peoples’ Republic <strong>of</strong><br />

Bangladesh, unveiled the found<strong>at</strong>ion stone <strong>of</strong> 14-storey <strong>DSE</strong> building <strong>at</strong> <strong>Nikunja</strong> on February 24, 2007.<br />

Finance and Planning advisor Dr. A.B. Mirza Azizul Islam, <strong>DSE</strong> President Mr. Md. Abdullah Bokhari<br />

and other directors <strong>of</strong> <strong>DSE</strong> are also present on the occasion.


A Milad Mahfil <strong>at</strong> the beginning <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Construction</strong> <strong>Work</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>DSE</strong> <strong>Tower</strong> <strong>at</strong> <strong>Nikunja</strong><br />

<strong>DSE</strong> President, Directors & Members and other participants are <strong>at</strong>tending A Doa Mahfil which was<br />

held on March 28, 2007 <strong>at</strong> <strong>Nikunja</strong>, Plot No. 46, Road No. 21 on the occasion <strong>of</strong> starting <strong>of</strong><br />

construction works <strong>of</strong> <strong>DSE</strong> <strong>Tower</strong>.<br />

<strong>DSE</strong> President, Senior Vice President, Chief Executive Officer & Directors are seen with spade <strong>at</strong> their<br />

hands to dig earth <strong>at</strong> the beginning day <strong>of</strong> the construction work <strong>of</strong> the <strong>DSE</strong> <strong>Tower</strong> <strong>at</strong> <strong>Nikunja</strong>, <strong>Dhaka</strong>.


<strong>Construction</strong> <strong>Work</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>DSE</strong> <strong>Tower</strong> <strong>at</strong> <strong>Nikunja</strong><br />

The <strong>Dhaka</strong> <strong>Stock</strong> <strong>Exchange</strong> Ltd. has selected M/S GBB Limited as a contractor for<br />

the construction work for the package – 01 (a) Civil works (b) Sanitary & Plumbing<br />

works (c) Electrical works (Internal and external Electrific<strong>at</strong>ion, Telecommunic<strong>at</strong>ion,<br />

Computer Networking, Public Addressing System, CCTV, Fire Detection and Alarm<br />

System) (d) Fire Hydrant System (e) Gas Connection and (f) Deep Tube Well <strong>of</strong><br />

Multi-Storey Office Building Complex <strong>at</strong> <strong>Nikunja</strong> (North), <strong>Dhaka</strong> as the tender bid<br />

amount <strong>of</strong> M/s GBB Limited were lowest. <strong>DSE</strong> has signed an agreement with M/s<br />

GBB Limited on February 28, 2007 for construction work <strong>of</strong> <strong>DSE</strong> <strong>Tower</strong>. After<br />

getting approved drawing from RAJUK on March 13, 2007 work order was issued in<br />

favour <strong>of</strong> M/s GBB Limited on March 15, 2007.<br />

M/s GBB Limited actually started shore pile work on April 11, 2007. The total<br />

number <strong>of</strong> shore pile has already been completed. The total numbers <strong>of</strong> bracing piles<br />

is 24 as per design, out <strong>of</strong> which 13 number <strong>of</strong> bracing pile work completed till<br />

August 21, 2007. About 25,000 cubic meter <strong>of</strong> earth excav<strong>at</strong>ed and removed from the<br />

site as a prepar<strong>at</strong>ion to start <strong>of</strong> m<strong>at</strong> found<strong>at</strong>ion work <strong>of</strong> the project. Tie Beam over pile<br />

head is to be done in three sides namely North, West and South as per design, out <strong>of</strong><br />

which the work <strong>of</strong> North side already completed.<br />

<strong>Construction</strong> work <strong>of</strong> the 14-storey <strong>DSE</strong> <strong>Tower</strong> is going on in full swing.<br />

<strong>Work</strong>ers very busy with doing their duties <strong>at</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>DSE</strong> building (under construction). Many packs <strong>of</strong><br />

cements have been amassed <strong>at</strong> the construction site.


<strong>Work</strong>ers-someone is carrying cement on head, someone digging hole and others are in another jobs <strong>at</strong><br />

the <strong>DSE</strong> building construction work <strong>at</strong> <strong>Nikunja</strong>, <strong>Dhaka</strong>.<br />

A man engaged in <strong>DSE</strong> building construction work is pouring brickb<strong>at</strong>s into rolling machine for the<br />

final use <strong>at</strong> <strong>DSE</strong> building.


A worker is filtering sand, which will be used for the construction purpose <strong>of</strong> the 14-storey <strong>DSE</strong><br />

building.


A worker is seen working beside whom a big tub containing brickb<strong>at</strong>,<br />

sand and other construction m<strong>at</strong>erials has also been kept.


<strong>Work</strong>ers-breaking brickb<strong>at</strong>, pouring w<strong>at</strong>er into drum containing construction m<strong>at</strong>erials and carrying<br />

m<strong>at</strong>erials on the ground <strong>of</strong> the <strong>DSE</strong> building (under construction).<br />

Machines seen on the picture will be sued for concocting construction m<strong>at</strong>erials for the 14-storey <strong>DSE</strong><br />

building.


A worker is toiling to concoct construction m<strong>at</strong>erials, which will be<br />

used <strong>at</strong> <strong>DSE</strong> building construction work.


<strong>Work</strong>ers, rod, cement and truck are seen on the picture-all will be used<br />

for the construction <strong>of</strong> <strong>DSE</strong> building.


The total number <strong>of</strong> shore pile is 291 CC & B/W in found<strong>at</strong>ion (Phase - 1) and<br />

RCC work in Raft (Phase -1) already has been completed.<br />

A Doah Mahfil was held on January 15, 2008 <strong>at</strong> the project site before starting <strong>of</strong><br />

the m<strong>at</strong> found<strong>at</strong>ion work in Raft (Phase –1) <strong>of</strong> the <strong>DSE</strong> <strong>Tower</strong> Project. Some<br />
