Green Box
The following materials can be recycled using the green box:

Cooking oil bottles
Wine bottles
Beer and cider bottles
Soft drink bottles
Cooking sauce jars
Coffee jars
Baby food jars
Jam and pickles jars
Herb and Spice jars
Plastic bottles – all types

Newspapers and magazines
Telephone directories
Catalogues (no hard-back covers)
Brochures and contents of junk mail
Old Yellow Pages
Office grade paper
White envelopes
(with or without windows)
Food and drink cans
Empty aerosol cans – no lids please
Sweet and biscuit tins
Please use the green box to recycle as many of these materials as often as possible.
Additional bags of paper, cans or plastic bottles may be placed on top of the green box
on collection day. Please only leave one catalogue or directory per collection, to make
the box easier to lift.
The green box will be collected every week.
Please rinse bottles and jars, remove all caps and lids, and place directly into the
green box. Please do not put bottle tops in the green box.
As well as asking you to recycle more materials more often we also want to continue to
collect good quality materials for recycling. This helps to maintain good markets for
recycling both at home and abroad.
