● ● Sett<strong>in</strong>g up <strong>of</strong> a Siddha Faculty: <strong>India</strong> assisted the Eastern University<br />
to set up a Siddha Faculty at Tr<strong>in</strong>comalee at a cost <strong>of</strong> INR 44 million.<br />
● ● Ra<strong>in</strong> Water Harvest<strong>in</strong>g: Construction <strong>of</strong> Ra<strong>in</strong> water harvest<strong>in</strong>g<br />
structures at Western and <strong>in</strong> Eastern Prov<strong>in</strong>ce at a cost <strong>of</strong> INR 3.2<br />
million helped to conserve ra<strong>in</strong>water.<br />
● ● Supply <strong>of</strong> Medic<strong>in</strong>es: <strong>India</strong> supplied essential and critical care<br />
medic<strong>in</strong>e for IDPs <strong>of</strong> Northern Prov<strong>in</strong>ce immediately after the war at<br />
a cost <strong>of</strong> INR 8 million<br />

Support to Thondaman Vocational Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g Centre: <strong>India</strong><br />
supported the VTC function<strong>in</strong>g at Hatton by provid<strong>in</strong>g technical staff<br />
to tra<strong>in</strong> the students at a cost <strong>of</strong> INR 10.6 million.<br />
Sett<strong>in</strong>g up <strong>of</strong> Computer Laboratories <strong>in</strong> Plantation Schools: <strong>India</strong> supplied computers to Plantation<br />
schools at a cost <strong>of</strong> INR 7 million.<br />
● ● Centre <strong>of</strong> English Language and Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g (CELT), Peradeniya: <strong>India</strong> s et up a CELT at Peradeniya to<br />
tra<strong>in</strong> <strong>Sri</strong> <strong>Lanka</strong>n master tra<strong>in</strong>ers <strong>in</strong> English Language. The project was implemented at a cost <strong>of</strong> INR 6.5<br />
million. <strong>India</strong> will be sett<strong>in</strong>g up n<strong>in</strong>e English labs <strong>in</strong> each <strong>of</strong> the n<strong>in</strong>e prov<strong>in</strong>ces <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sri</strong> <strong>Lanka</strong>.<br />
● ● Vocational Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g: Rural Vocational Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g Centres (VTC) at Batticaloa, Nuwara Eliya and Puttalam<br />
were set up to impart vocational tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a variety <strong>of</strong> technical trades. The project was implemented at<br />
a cost <strong>of</strong> INR 245 million<br />
