Is there a career that exists where you can set your own hours, make a great
income, grow personally and professionally, work with fun people and put
your family first? I thought by searching for that, I was looking for the impossible,
but I found it all with Arbonne.
I had a successful fifteen year consulting career as a project manager. As a
working mom, I was proud of my career but started realizing I was missing
out on my children’s lives. Working in a fast paced high-stress environment
while our nanny was raising our children and my husband was away every
week traveling for work, was not how I wanted to spend my days. We did
not have family balance. The precious time with our children at home was
slipping away. Although it was a financial sacrifice, my husband and I decided
I would stay home and focus on our family for a few years. Once at home
with my daughters, I knew I never wanted to go back to a full-time corporate
job. I wanted to volunteer at school, be there for my daughters when they get
home from school and spend summers with them. Being home for my children
would be a blessing for me. However, I still wanted to contribute to our family’s
income so that my husband could reduce his work and travel schedule, and
could have more time with them as well. I considered becoming an independent
consultant, as then I could control my schedule, but I realized my client
would be in control, not me. I would also still be trading my time for money
and would have a limited income if I wanted to work part-time hours.
Then my questions were answered. My friend, ENVP Karla Reisch, called me
and told me she had started a business with Arbonne. She showed me how I
could work part time from home and make a full-time income. I was intrigued,
but I had already tried another network marketing business and could not think
why would Arbonne be any different. But this time, I researched network marketing
and compensation plans, and was impressed with what I saw. I tried the
NutriMinC ® RE 9® skin care, and loved how it felt and the difference it made on
my skin. I realized that Arbonne was different and had the best compensation
plan, products and leadership team in the industry. When I met with Karla to
hear more about the business, she shared her goal for promoting to RVP with
me. I knew she would achieve it, and I wanted to go there with her.
When I started my business, I was excited about the options it would create
for my family’s future, but nervous about doing what I knew I had to do to
be successful. The thought of prospecting and doing “Group” Presentations
scared me, but the thought of going back to a corporate job and missing out
on my daughters’ lives scared me more, so I pushed through the fear keeping
my sight on why I was doing this. I soon realized that I was not bugging my
friends by telling them about Arbonne. I was offering them an opportunity to
create their future as I was creating mine. It became easier when I talked to
them about what they wanted and how this could be a vehicle to help them
get there. I showed them how they could redirect their money to buy healthy
