YOUR FUTURE
Is there a career that exists where you can set your own hours, make a great
income, grow personally and professionally, work with fun people and put
your family first? I thought by searching for that, I was looking for the impossible,
but I found it all with Arbonne.
I had a successful fifteen year consulting career as a project manager. As a
working mom, I was proud of my career but started realizing I was missing
out on my children’s lives. Working in a fast paced high-stress environment
while our nanny was raising our children and my husband was away every
week traveling for work, was not how I wanted to spend my days. We did
not have family balance. The precious time with our children at home was
slipping away. Although it was a financial sacrifice, my husband and I decided
I would stay home and focus on our family for a few years. Once at home
with my daughters, I knew I never wanted to go back to a full-time corporate
job. I wanted to volunteer at school, be there for my daughters when they get
home from school and spend summers with them. Being home for my children
would be a blessing for me. However, I still wanted to contribute to our family’s
income so that my husband could reduce his work and travel schedule, and
could have more time with them as well. I considered becoming an independent
consultant, as then I could control my schedule, but I realized my client
would be in control, not me. I would also still be trading my time for money
and would have a limited income if I wanted to work part-time hours.
Then my questions were answered. My friend, ENVP Karla Reisch, called me
and told me she had started a business with Arbonne. She showed me how I
could work part time from home and make a full-time income. I was intrigued,
but I had already tried another network marketing business and could not think
why would Arbonne be any different. But this time, I researched network marketing
and compensation plans, and was impressed with what I saw. I tried the
NutriMinC ® RE 9® skin care, and loved how it felt and the difference it made on
my skin. I realized that Arbonne was different and had the best compensation
plan, products and leadership team in the industry. When I met with Karla to
hear more about the business, she shared her goal for promoting to RVP with
me. I knew she would achieve it, and I wanted to go there with her.
When I started my business, I was excited about the options it would create
for my family’s future, but nervous about doing what I knew I had to do to
be successful. The thought of prospecting and doing “Group” Presentations
scared me, but the thought of going back to a corporate job and missing out
on my daughters’ lives scared me more, so I pushed through the fear keeping
my sight on why I was doing this. I soon realized that I was not bugging my
friends by telling them about Arbonne. I was offering them an opportunity to
create their future as I was creating mine. It became easier when I talked to
them about what they wanted and how this could be a vehicle to help them
get there. I showed them how they could redirect their money to buy healthy
products for their family and tell others about it. Arbonne would pay them
a commission for being the “word-of-mouth” advertiser for them.
I shared the opportunity and products with a lot of people, heard a
lot of “nos” but also found friends who were ready, like I was, to start
making some changes in their lives. My first few business partners were
working moms who had no time to strive for more, which is exactly why
they decided to do it. They saw this business as the way to change their
lives and get back their time. My team flourished because I had driven
business partners who shared my vision and enthusiasm. My journey
to RVP and NVP was incredibly fast but it did not come without a lot
of hard work. Anything with high reward is hard work. When it feels
hard, all I have to do is remember how hard it was to wake to an alarm
clock, leave my daughters for the day and work long hours on someone
else’s schedule. I would rather work hard to build my financial freedom
than someone else’s.
Arbonne has been more rewarding to me than I imagined. In addition
to the financial and time benefits, I have grown both personally and
professionally through the fantastic training, leadership opportunities and
wonderful team members. It is incredible to be surrounded by so many
bright, successful, like-minded people. I have a career again but can put
my family first and choose the hours I want to work. The most rewarding
part has been helping others. This business is changing the lives of my
friends as they are able to scale back and quit their corporate jobs.
Now I get to go through life making a difference. I am also creating my
family’s future. I have lessened the financial pressure on my husband.
We are now dreaming big dreams such as early retirement, extended
family vacations, private college for our kids and giving our time and
money to causes we are passionate about. Every hour I spend on my
business brings us closer to our next dream.
are to be successful. You can read Eye on Arbonne stories to see that
people with diverse backgrounds are succeeding. Educating yourself
through Arbonne Learn & Burn CDs and books will help build your
belief in the company, the products, the industry and yourself. You also
must persevere and look at the long-term view. Success may mean a
few extra hundred dollars a month or a few extra thousand a month or
it may mean the paycheck of an NVP. Whatever it means for you, you
can find success if you stick with it.
If you are reading this story because a friend shared it with you, please
trust that friend enough to take the time to look at Arbonne. It is worth
your time to listen to the information and determine if it is a fit for you.
It could be one of the best gifts you have ever received and the best
gift you can offer someone else. What would you change in your life
if you could? What dreams have you stopped dreaming because you
thought they were unachievable? Are you creating your future or letting
life pass you by? If you want to make a change in your life, what steps
are you willing to take now? Could Arbonne be your answer? Only you
can create your future. Consider one of my favorite quotes. “The future
is not a result of choices among alternate paths offered by the present,
but a place that is created – created first in mind and will; created next
in activity. The future is not some place we are going to, but one we
are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made, and the activity
of making them changes both the maker and the destination.” Start
dreaming again. Start creating your future.
Without the leaders in Arbonne and the efforts of an incredible team,
none of this would have been possible.
To Chairman & CEO Bob Henry, President Rita Davenport and all the wonderful
people at the corporate office: Thank you for making this opportunity
possible and for creating the giving and caring culture of Arbonne.
Through my journey, I have learned that belief and persistence are the
primary keys to success. You must believe you will be successful if you
success strategy:
Create it first in mind
and will; create it next in activity.
