workshops to over 280 business students<br />
in 2009 as part <strong>of</strong> the Career Action<br />
Plan, the sign<strong>at</strong>ure pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
development program <strong>of</strong> the college.<br />
2009 UTSA Wrote letters <strong>of</strong> recommend<strong>at</strong>ion for 10 students<br />

College Bound!” A two-year<br />
collabor<strong>at</strong>ion between the L<strong>at</strong>ino<br />
Financial Issues program and Wrenn<br />
Middle School in EISD to promote<br />
college <strong>at</strong>tendance among eighth<br />
graders. Program is comprised <strong>of</strong> 12<br />
hours <strong>of</strong> college awareness and<br />
planning led by LFI students and<br />
culmin<strong>at</strong>ing with a visit to the main<br />
UTSA campus. Eighty LFI students and<br />
400 Wrenn students will particip<strong>at</strong>e<br />
over two years. 2010-2011<br />
2009 Faculty Member Dress for Success As part <strong>of</strong> L<strong>at</strong>ino Financial Issues<br />
Program, 40 UTSA students worked<br />
with Dress for Success--<strong>San</strong> <strong>Antonio</strong>, a<br />
nonpr<strong>of</strong>it whose mission is to help lowincome<br />
women enter the<br />
workforce. Ninety percent <strong>of</strong> the<br />
clients <strong>of</strong> Dress for Success are victims<br />
<strong>of</strong> domestic violence. Students worked<br />
with the organiz<strong>at</strong>ion to coordin<strong>at</strong>e a<br />
fundraiser and suit drive in support <strong>of</strong><br />
the program’s mission.<br />
