into the Friends of
the Arts show at the
Silver Center for the
Arts at Plymouth
State University. The
artist explained her
work: “This art piece
was made to be a
19” vase but it never
fully reached 19”.
During the processes
of making it, it caved
in to form a more humanly figure. I like more of the
organic look and shapes and added earth tone colors.
It was made of coils that were later smoothed out.”
Hiroshi Tanaka’s ’12 (Aichi, Japan) Love Story
earned the “Award for Excellence in Sculpture” at
the Friends of the Arts show at the Silver Center
for the Arts at Plymouth State University.
