<strong>Guidelines</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>TC</strong> <strong>Webpage</strong> <strong>Contents</strong><br />
SMCS is going to prepare <strong>TC</strong> Introduction pages which are helpful to promote your <strong>TC</strong>s and recruit new <strong>TC</strong> members to<br />
support your <strong>TC</strong> activities (see the <strong>TC</strong> Plaza).<br />
Please fill out the below items with referring to a sample web page attached at the end of this <strong>for</strong>m and send back this<br />
<strong>for</strong>m to the <strong>TC</strong> Web Editor with Cc to <strong>TC</strong> Coordinator without final sample page (<strong>for</strong>m body only) by Nov. 28,2005.:<br />

• (optional) Provide one or two JPEG color images that can be used as logo(s) to show what your <strong>TC</strong> is<br />

" Describe the objectives of your <strong>TC</strong> with less than 100 words.<br />
• "Who we are:"<br />
(1) List (a) <strong>TC</strong> Chairs' / co-Chairs' names, (b) their Dept names, (c) their affiliation names, and (d) their<br />
e-mail addresses and attach (e) a color photo image of each <strong>TC</strong> Chair and co-Chair. Their titles, postal<br />
addresses, and Tel&Fax do not appear on your <strong>TC</strong> introduction web page. These e-mail addresses are<br />
used <strong>for</strong> letting possible <strong>TC</strong> members contact with <strong>TC</strong> Chairs and appear on the web page in secure<br />
mode to prevent spam mails.<br />
(2) List (a) <strong>TC</strong> members' names, (b) their affiliation names, and (c) country names of the affiliations.<br />
Their titles, Dept. names, communication addresses including e-mail addresses, and photos do not<br />
appear on your <strong>TC</strong> introduction web page.
• "What we’re doing:"<br />
Provide up to 10 items describing your activities in the past two years and planned activities in the next<br />
two years. Each item should not exceed two text lines (roughly up to 30 - 35 words per two lines.)<br />
• "Why don’t you join us?":<br />
This is a <strong>TC</strong> Chair's welcome message to recruit new <strong>TC</strong> members. Write how your <strong>TC</strong> is attractive and<br />
why people should join to your <strong>TC</strong> activities with less than 100 words or itemize the reasons.

Our goals<br />
The primary objective of the Computational Life Science (CLS) technical committee is to bring together specialists<br />
from the areas biology, chemistry and computer science and engineering working in this interdisciplinary<br />
environment. The goal of the <strong>TC</strong> is to provide a basis <strong>for</strong> the exchange of in<strong>for</strong>mation and resources among the<br />
diverse communities and enable interactions between groups from these fields.<br />
