Sweating, I laughed at myself, thinking, Ross was
delusional—and illogical. His ideas made no sense. Yet, there is
a power outage. I tried to write this with a black pen; it was
almost invisible, gray letters on pale gray paper. For whatever
reason, red ink, although also gray, works better. I can still
read it. Dread assailed me until I accepted the truth.
I’m laughing again. One huge, galactic guffaw. It doesn’t
matter that I’ve gotten this down. Soon it will be illegible, as
if I composed it in invisible ink. Besides, who’ll be around to
read it?
