What is the process to get the benefit from
this project?
The project will run as a private business
model and will supply secure electricity to
people when it is needed. However, there
are set of rules which need to be adhered to
get the maximum benefit out of the project.
The community neesd to provide maximum
support to the project as it is for direct benefit
of the village.
First and foremost, in order to enhance the effectiveness, a nominal
joining fee will be charged so that the community can also provide
guarantee to equipment and machinery. Interested households
can approach the local office in the village to get connection after
depositing the joining fee and form. Based on the assessment and
requirement, electricity connection will be provided which comes with
an electricity meter.
What all equipment can one run on the connection
one takes?
Whatever machines need to be used by the
customers, they should get prior approval
or agreement with the operators, BASIX and the village electrification
committees. There will be technical people to advice on what sort of
machinery can be used.
Is there any risk in terms of electrical shock?
There are very less chances of severe
electricity shocks as these systems are low
voltage and not high voltage, and as part of
the installation process we will be giving safety demonstrations
and ensure equipment used are shock-proof. Also, there will be
technical people in the village who will be responsible for handling
these situations.
Who will be responsible for such risk?
The company will not be responsible for
any person being impacted by shocks or
accidents, as it would be the fault of the
person. The company will only be responsible for the successful
operation of the plant and ensure it provides the agreed quantity of
energy.
Who will be responsible for technical assistance?
The operating company, BASIX, will be will take care of any technical aspects that may arise. BASIX will be
responsible for the complete system and responsible for all the operation and maintenance work.
What is the system or technology of this project?
Currently, the project will be using solar supply to the village and it will use latest technology in terms of wires
photovoltaic technology to produce energy to and metering system.
