Moderate Priority Treatment Areas (Years 5-10) Hand-pull or hoe patches of English/Algerian ivy. Remove acacias; treat cut stumps with herbicide to reduce suckering. Prior to flowering of these species, hand-pull or hoe all patches of wild mustard, wild radish, Italian thistle, and bull thistle. Continue solarization plots within Harding/canary grass patch; maintain 10mm black plastic over plot for minimum of 1 year. Periodically monitor site and repair fabric/plastic as needed. After treatment revegetate treated area with native perennial grass species. Prior to flowering, mow and/or weed-whip selected patches of poison hemlock.
