Achievements 2011<br />
Vision Generation is the youth movement of World Vision<br />
Australia, our goal is to inspire, educate and empower<br />
young people in the fight against global poverty and<br />
injustice. This year, a Vision group has been started at<br />
Newstead College. It is a great opportunity for young<br />
people to take positive action within our school and<br />
community. Newstead’s Vision Group is currently coordinating<br />
and fundraising for the 40 Hour Famine which<br />
in on the 19th -21st <strong>August</strong> and throughout the rest of<br />
the year will be taking action on issues such as fair-trade<br />
and child health. If you are interested in joining Vision<br />

students infiltrated the Launceston<br />
Competitions, making the most of the<br />
opportunities to compete in music,<br />
drama and dance and to share the<br />
enjoyment of the arts. By the end of the<br />
season, due to conistant hard work of<br />
the students there were many awards<br />
taken home as well.<br />
