BAMTEC: Reinforcing in a Roll<br />
Incorporating finite element slab design and detailing software by INDUCTA, the integrated<br />
BAMTEC system involves prefabricating reinforcing steel "carpets" to virtually any shape or size.<br />
BAMTEC carpets can contain different diameters of bars, have bars at different spacing and can<br />
accommodate different carpet shapes and penetrations. Each layer has only one layer of steel,<br />
which means if four layers of steel are required, then four carpets will be needed.<br />
Size limits<br />
The minimum diameter of bar which can be used with BAMTEC system is 10mm.<br />
The largest diameter used is 32mm Class N 500Plus Rebar.<br />
The minimum bar spacing is 50mm up to a maximum spacing of 400mm. BAMTEC comes in<br />
widths from 1.8m minimum to 15m. Maximum weight per carpet is approximately 1.6 Tonne.<br />
