NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) Features
• Interior quietness begins with a sound absorber on
the engine side of the instrument panel, a singlepiece
substrate on the instrument panel, a soft-trim
cab back panel and an acoustic headliner
• Quiet Steel laminate is used behind the dash panel
to help improve interior sound levels
• The Lariat Luxury Series offers additional
refinement with:
– Thicker windshield lamination
– Higher sound absorption carpeting
– Additional sound insulation in the doors,
instrument panel and cab back panel
• 6-speed automatic transmission has been designed
to minimize gear whine and is noticeably quiet
• Powertrain mounts help cushion engine and
transmission motion and isolate most sound and
vibration transmitted to the cab
Intelligent Oil Life Monitor
• Standard on EcoBoost 3.5L V6, 3.7L V6 and
5.0L V8 engines
• An advanced system that calculates the oil change
service interval based on actual vehicle use and
operating conditions – up to 10,000 miles
• Conditions that could accelerate an oil change
interval include towing, short-distance driving, driving
in extreme temperatures and use of E85 in Flex Fuelequipped
vehicles
• As an oil change service interval nears, the vehicle
Message Center will display:
– ENGINE OIL CHANGE SOON when 5 percent of the
oil life remains
– OIL CHANGE REQUIRED when 0 percent of the oil
life remains
• Failure to perform scheduled maintenance as
specified in the Service Guide may result in voiding
the New Vehicle Limited Warranty
Easy Maintenance
