Greetings to all classmates, with<br />

hopes that your summer has been<br />

relaxing, fun, and safe so far. Barb and<br />

I look forward to hearing about and<br />

reporting on your summer exploits in<br />

the next column.<br />

Sue Rossnagel Flynn updated me<br />

on the home front happenings in St.<br />

Louis. Son Dan graduated from the<br />

University of Kansas in 2008 and<br />

serves as a first lieutenant with the<br />

Army at Ft. Carson, Colo. He<br />

anticipates deploying to Afghanistan<br />

in mid-July. Daughter Caitlyn lives in<br />

the Theater District of New York City<br />

and works for a cutting-edge firm<br />

selling Internet advertising. Sue and<br />

husband Kevin are basking in the<br />

pride of their children’s successes<br />

while enjoying the quiet that is new<br />

to their home. Joe O’Neill is CEO of<br />

The IntegrityID Group, an Internet<br />

security start-up company. Joe, his<br />

wife, and their three children reside<br />

in the suburbs of Seattle.<br />

Richard Tancer, D.O., was<br />

honored by the New Jersey<br />

Association of Osteopathic Physicians<br />

and Surgeons as the Physician of the<br />

Year. He received the award in April<br />

at the Atlantic Regional Osteopathic<br />

Convention held in Atlantic City, N.J.<br />

Rich reports that son Marc ’11 is a<br />

junior at <strong>Lafayette</strong>, son Jonathan<br />

attends Montclair State University, and<br />

son Robert is a junior at Montville<br />

Township (N.J.) High School.<br />

Terri Camins Caust resides in<br />

Glen Rock, N.J., with husband Peter<br />

and their 8-year-old son, Zachary.<br />

Terri has been teaching Spanish in<br />

New Jersey since she left <strong>College</strong> Hill,<br />

with the past 11 years in Tenafly, N.J.<br />

In her spare time, she is active with<br />

the Bergen County Players<br />

community theater in Oradell as a<br />

director, set designer, and prop and<br />

costume manager. Peter is a risk<br />

manager for Sandvik Corp.<br />

Jack Green was promoted to<br />

project manager at the Homer City<br />

(Pa.) Generating Station for EME<br />

Homer City Generation L.P. Jack also<br />

serves on the American Society of<br />

Mechanical Engineers’ Power<br />

Division Operation and Maintenance<br />

Committee, as well as on the board of<br />

directors of Friends of Friends Club<br />

of Pittsburgh, a philanthropic<br />

organization comprised of owners,<br />

contractors, and suppliers in the<br />

energy services sector.<br />

The Post-Standard newspaper in<br />

Syracuse, N.Y., published an article<br />

featuring Brian Musician and partner<br />

Amy Yahna and their Alambria<br />

Springs Farm in Lebanon, N.Y.<br />

Brian and Amy have restructured his<br />

family’s original dairy farm into an<br />

organic farming operation based on<br />

community-supported agriculture and<br />

also built a green-focused straw home<br />

that is completely self-sustaining.<br />

Their future plans involve hosting<br />

tours of the facility and conducting<br />

workshops on sustainable living<br />

practices. Also, they plan to expand<br />

their crop offerings to add fruits to<br />

the current selections of gourmet<br />

salad greens and over 100 varieties<br />

of organic produce.<br />

Recently, Curt Allen, Judy<br />

Xanthopoulos, Jim Fusco, and<br />

I met for dinner in Bethesda, Md.<br />

Curt is a vice president with Clark<br />

Construction Co. of Bethesda.<br />

He resides in Rockville, Md., with<br />

his wife, Cecilia, and their three<br />

daughters, Lauren, Mackenzie,<br />

and Lindsey. After 10 years as an<br />

economist with the Joint Committee<br />

on Taxation of the U.S. Congress,<br />

Judy is presently a principal for both<br />

Quantria Strategies LLC and Optimal<br />

Benefit Strategies LLC. She develops<br />

microsimulation models for tax and<br />

pension policy analysis for clients and<br />

also consults on tax and economic<br />

policy. After <strong>Lafayette</strong>, Judy earned a<br />

master’s in mathematical economics<br />

at Tulane University and a Ph.D. in<br />

economics at the University of<br />

Maryland. In her leisure time, she<br />

trains for and competes in triathlons<br />

and has competed multiple times in<br />

the IronMan Triathlon competition.<br />

Jim Fusco is a senior account<br />

executive with Boland Trane Co. in<br />

Rockville, Md., having celebrated 30<br />

years of service this year. Jim and his<br />

wife, Maria, reside in Potomac, Md.,<br />

with their three children, Michael,<br />

Kathryn, and Erika.<br />

With sadness, I report the<br />

March 10 passing of Lawrence<br />

Charles Stametz. Lawrence was<br />

a self-employed entrepreneur at<br />

the time of his death, residing in<br />

Bethlehem, Pa. Additionally,<br />

Donald W. Repsher passed away<br />

Jan. 1 at the University of Maryland<br />

Medical Center in Baltimore. He<br />

was a nontraditional student in the<br />

electrical engineering program<br />

while at <strong>Lafayette</strong>, and resided in<br />

Chincoteague Island, Va., at the time<br />

of his passing. He had worked as an<br />

electrical engineer with Met-Ed Power<br />

Co. for 34 years and was active with<br />

the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire<br />

Department and the Chincoteague<br />

Decoy and Artists Association.<br />

Consider this the “calm before the<br />

storm” issue. I hope I saw many of<br />

you at our 30th reunion in June.<br />

However, this article was due in<br />

April, so all of that news will have to<br />

wait. For now, let me just say that<br />

I’m sure it was great to see those of<br />

you who came and made it a record<br />

turnout.<br />
